The club held its annual This Girl Can day today. Hosted by the female paddlers and coaches of BDCC, over 30 women and girls from the Banbury area took to the water in kayaks and canoes – many for the first time.
This has proved very a successful event for the last three years, and has now seen over 100 women and girls have a free introduction to paddling. Many of them have gone on to join the club and start racing, and we are looking forward to seeing a number of today’s attendees coming back regularly. Even if it is only for the cake!
