We were very luck to have top sports psychologist Richard Hampson (British Canoeing and Changing Minds UK) talk to us last night.  He covered Developing talent – What does ‘being excellent’ actually require, and execution under pressure.  Hopefully everyone went home with 3-5 basic things to commit to over the next year which should see significant improvements in whatever they are applied to.

We were also very grateful to British Canoeing’s Performance Director, Paul Ratcliffe, for coming down too, and watching the Wednesday afternoon junior session.  He even risked the sausage and beans supper that we did for those going straight from training to the lecture.  Brave man!
