BDCC recently celebrated a great year with the annual Awards Evening. Nominations were made by the members, with the final decision taken by a small committee. Paddlers at all levels were recognised, with Shirley in Div 9 winning the female paddler award, and Joe in Div 1 winning the marathon one following his international successes last year, including 4th places in the Junior European and World Championships with Oscar from Elmbridge.
It wouldn’t be a Banbury event without lots of food, so many thanks to all the volunteers who brought the shepherds pies and the endless puddings, and afterwards there was live music from Banbury Paddler Will Harte and his band.
