We recently held our annual race review and Awards Evening celebrating another successful year. Highlights of 2016 were:
- the Lightning paddlers winning the Geoff Sanders trophy for the 4th time in the last 6 years.
- the club was 3rd at the National Marathon Championships, 4th at the Inter-club Sprint Championships and 5th at the Inter-club Hasler Finals.
Internationally we had sprint paddlers at the Rio Olympics, World Cups, U23 European Championships, World University Games and the Flemish Open Championships. In marathon, our junior paddlers represented GB at the Junior European Championships, Waterlands and Gent.
