The club came third at the Thames Valley Hasler last weekend, which leaves them in joint second place in the Southern Region – tying with Reading, and behind Falcon. The Lightnings fared a bit better, coming second overall, with Izzy B winning U12 girls again, and Will L taking 3rd in U12 Boys, and together they were 3rd in the Hody race. Will Brown was 3rd in U10 boys in a tight sprint finish.
At the “older” end of the spectrum, Robin A and Jerry H won Div 4 K2 and somehow managed to avoid promotion. Stephen H and Debbie H (in photo) kept up their great points tally, and took another 2nd place, and promotion to Div 8. Elsewhere it was a lot of 3rd places – Joe P in Div 1, Luke J and Robin F in Div 3 K2, Toby G Div 6 and promoted to 5, and his father Jerry G in his first ever race and promoted to Div 8! Out of the placings, but promoted to Div 6 was Andy M. It’s on to Oxford next weekend for the Falcon CC Hasler race, and hopefully we can keep the club in the qualification zone for the Hasler Finals.
